Excursion to Szécsény by Experience train!


Experience train leaves to Szécsény, where a Hungarian – Slovakian Railway worker’s Day celebration is waiting the passengers. At arrival a memorial battle of 2nd World War is played at the station, where one of the trains will be a special armoured train. Among the programmes can be found locomotive parade, Hungarian and Slovakian vehicles pageant and a Slovakian and Hungarian gastronomic show organised by town of Szécsény. For the sake of rail enthusiasts there is the possibility of making photos twice. Next to the Railway worker’s Day town of Szécsény waits the guest with a lot of spectacles. After the exciting shows guests can have a nice walk at the Angolpark (Englishpark). Suggested visiting programmes are Forgách-palace with exhibition and the medieval city. The name of the town has a strong relationship with the history - the Franciscan convent supported by Szécsényi family, II. Ferenc Rákóczi congregated the parliament.

Timetable

The reduced fares contain the railway roundtrip ticket and the reservation. MÁV Nostalgia’s staff looks after the passengers and a surprise on the way back home. Train has bar and beer coach is the stock.

     Child: 2500 HUF pp
Premium reservation: Reduced fare for 2 people who can occupy 4 seats, an ideal comfort for those who would like to have premium accommodation Price: 10500 HUF for 2 people
