On 22 August, 2009 MÁV Nosztalgia Kft. is organizing a trip to the school town, Sárospatak. The train that is pulled by a NOHAB engine has a dining car and a bar car. Our special price includes the price of the return ticket for the vintage train, the seat reservation, and a guided tour to the Rákóczi castle.

In carriages with upholstered seats: HUF 7900 per person
In carriages with wooden seats: HUF 6900 per person

Train schedule: Budapest - Sárospatak
Departure: 6.25 a.m. from Nyugati Train Station of Budapest
Arrival: 10.27 a.m. in Sárospatak Train route: Budapest – Hatvan – Füzesabony – Szerencs – Sárospatak Sárospatak - BudapestDeparture: 4.32 p.m. from SárospatakArrival: 8.36 p.m. at Nyugati Train StationTrain route: Sárospatak – Szerencs – Füzesabony – Hatvan – Budapest Programme: Our train will be welcomed by the citizens of the town. We will be offered a welcome drink at the gate of the wine region, Hegyalja. After getting off the train, we take a walk in the school garden and on the main street, we visit the Rákóczi castle, we taste some Tokai wine, we visit the Comenius Teacher Training College, and we admire the panorama of the River Bodrog. On our way back we will enjoy harmonica music. Optional programmes: - visit to the library- viewing world famous books returned from the Soviet Union- wine tasting in the Rákóczi wine-cellar.
