A wonderful trip is organised between 9 and 15 June 2010, to the Gate of East, Istanbul, on the most famous line of the world. During the 7 days trip 3 countries will be visited next to Turkey: Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia where the guest could explore the most interesting and nicest sights.
1st day
Meeting is at the early afternoon hours at the Royal Waiting Room where a glass of champagne waits the guests. After boarding, occupying the compartments and the departure of Danube Express a Welcome drink is served at the bar car before dinner. During having dinner the train is rolling through the Great Hungarian Plain towards Transylvania.
Accommodation is on the train, at the chosen compartment.
2nd day
After the early morning tea or coffee served at the compartment, breakfast is served at the dining car. Train arrives at Sighisoara, the most well-kept and saved town of the Continent. Romantic streets which are bordered by town-houses and churches lead to the old town, where bcc the clock-tower with unique view and Lord Dracula’s assumed birthplace can be visited.
Lunch is served at the restaurant car in the way to Brasov.
After a short sightseeing tour at Brasov, the Bran castle is visited where – as the legend says- Lord Dracula lived.
Danube Express is joined at Sinaia, the holiday resort of Romanian royal family.
Dinner is served at the restaurant car in the way to Bulgaria.
3rd day
After the early morning tea or coffee served at the compartment, breakfast is served at the dining car. Train arrives to Veliko Tarnovo, the ancient capital of Bulgaria. In the course of sightseeing the medieval castle of Tsarevets and the city is visited where the small stone houses were built very strictly at River Yantra
During having lunch at the restaurant car, the train gets on the ridge of Sipka Mountains provided a splendid view.
A short visit at the Valley of the Roses brakes the trip to the Turkish Capital.
4th day
After the early morning tea or coffee served at the compartment, breakfast is served at the dining car. Train arrives at Sirkeci station in Istanbul, the station which was specially built for Orient Express. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofiat and the Topkapi Seraglio is visited in the morning then a short free time a ship tour is taken in the Bosporus channel which connects Europe and Asia. After occupying the rooms in Hotel Gemir Palace in the heart of the town, dinner will be served at a restaurant near the hotel.
5th day
After having breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant a bus takes the guests to the
“Grand Bazaar” where the history of Turkish carpets can be shown then everyone has free time at the erst of the day.
Danube Express leaves to Budapest in the late afternoon hours.
Dinner is served at the restaurant car.
6th day
After the early morning tea or coffee served at the compartment, breakfast is served at the dining car. Train arrives to Plovdiv, the second capital of Bulgaria where the Old town (famous of its characteristic houses) and the Ancient Theatre is visited. During the lunch at the restaurant car the trip continues to Sofia crossing Rodope Mountains. Train arrives in Sofia in the early afternoon hours. A bus tour is taken at the Capital visiting the Royal Palace and St. Sofia Cathedral. In the late afternoon the train leaves to Budapest via Serbia.
The Gala dinner is served at the restaurant car.
7th day
After the early morning tea or coffee served at the compartment, breakfast is served at the dining car. Train arrives at Novi Sad where the Petrovaradin Fortress (built in the 19th Century for the defence of the town) can be seen. Today it is the home of the Museum of Novi sad from gets a fine view to the valley of River Danube. After visiting the casemates a walking tour is taken in the city where Einstein’s house can be seen, too.
Not long before lunch the trip continues to Hungary which is reached after the lunch served at the restaurant car.
Train arrives in Budapest Nyugati Station after having afternoon tea.

De Luxe:
In this wooden covered, carefully designed compartment two beds (placed in shape L) can be found, which are changed to armchairs at daytime. Each compartment has its own bathroom (shower, WC, hairdryer). The temperature of the compartments can be controlled individually.
Classic:
In this shiny wooden covered compartment the one bed is placed over the other which can be turn to a canapé at daytime. Wash-basin and shower can be found in the compartment. Toilet can be found at the end of the car’s corridor.
